The Platte City Police Department was established in 1931. Today the department has grown along with the City and has nine patrol officers, one detective, seven reserve officers, an administrative secretary and the Chief of Police.
Members of the Platte City Police Department perform a variety of functions for the citizens of Platte City. They patrol the city, provide written documentation of incidents and vehicular accidents, conduct investigations, and provide other law enforcement support as necessary.
