Q.     How do I contact the Police?

 

A.     The non-emergency number for the Police Station is 816-858-5150.

        This number is answered Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.,

        excluding holidays.  There are Platte City Police Officers on duty

        twenty-four hours a day.  The Platte County Sheriff's Department

        dispatches for the Platte City Police Department.  Dial 911 for an

        emergency or contact the Platte County Sheriff's Communications

        Center at 816-858-3521.

 

 

Q.     With the new Missouri legislation regarding alcohol and driving

          privilege status, how do I find out what my status is and who do I

          contact for answers?

 

A.     Drivers who are unsure of their driving privilege status may call the

        Missouri Department of Revenue at 573-526-2407 or visit their

        website at:     www.dor.mo.gov/mvdl/drivers/lawchanges

        The automated number is available 24 hours a day.

 

 

Q.     How can I notify the Police if I would like my house checked while I

         am gone or if I have a neighborhood problem?

 

A.     The Document Center contains a Community Action Request form.

        Print the form out, complete it and either bring it to the Police Station

        or ask an officer to come by and pick it up.

 

 

Q.      How do I schedule a ride-along with a Platte City Officer?

 

A.     The Document Center contains an application for a ride-along.  You

        must be 21 or over, a Platte City resident, and be able to pass a

        background check.  Print the form out, complete it and bring it to

        the Police Station.

 

 

Q.      How can I find out information about a case?

 

A.     You may call the Police Department at 816-858-5150, Monday

        through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Please have your case report

        number available, as this will help us quickly obtain the information

        you need.

 

 

Q.     How may I obtain information about paying a ticket or other

          municipal court-related matters?

 

A.     You may call the Municipal Court Clerk at 816-858-3618.

 

 

 

Q.     How do I apply for a job with the Platte City Police Department?

 

A.     The Community section has a section Employment, which contains

an application for employement.  You must be 21 or over, a citizen

of the United States, have a valid driver's license, be post certified,

and be able to pass a background check.  Print the application

form,complete it, attach a resume, and forward it to City Hall. 

 

 

Q.     How do I go about filing for an Ex-Parte (restraining order)?

 

A.    Contact the Platte County Sheriff's Department at 415 Third

       Street, Platte City, MO  64079 or call 816-858-3521.

 

 

Q.     What do I do if I have an animal control problem?

 

A.    Notify the Platte County Dispatch, (816) 858-3521.  Look on the

       Helpful Links / Resources page to find the information for the
