2011- 2012 Season
A recreational basketball league will be offered for both boys and girls grades 3-6. Communities involved are Platte City (including Barry), Smithville, West Platte, North Platte, East Buchanan, Mid Buchanan, and DeKalb. The league will consist of an 8-game season with games being played on Saturday's.
Practices will begin in November starting with two practices a week before the season (weekend & weeknight), followed by one practice a week during the season (weeknight). Ideally each team will get an equal number of home and away games. An optional tournament will also follow the season for an additional small fee (each community will hold an age group).
Dates:
- Sign-ups begin September 14, 2011
- Deadline for Registration is October 12, 2011
- Practice begins November 1, 2011.
- Season begins December 10, 2011
- Season ends February, 2012
- Tournament Dates: TBA

- 4th Grade Boys & Girls
- 5th Grade Boys & Girls
- 6th Grade Boys & Girls
Fees: (price break for siblings within the same family)
- One child $55
- Multiple Family Discounts must register thru City Hall
- Two children $75
- 3 or more children $85
- All fees include a jersey
