The City’s Building Department consists of a Building Inspector/Codes Enforcement Officer. This department is responsible for monitoring and inspection of all residential and commercial construction in accordance with the 2006 International Building Code and City Code. This department is also responsible for receiving and monitoring the abatement of nuisance complaints of residential and commercial properties.
The City's Planning Department consists of a Planner/Community Development Director. This department is responsible for administering annexation petitions, rezoning requests, preliminary and final plat approvals, and site plan approvals. This department is also responsible for enforcing city zoning and subdivision regulations and for maintaining plans of new developments.
