The City is divided up into three Wards. Each Ward has two representatives who serve alternating 2-year terms. The Mayor is also elected by the citizens of Platte City and serves a 2-year term. 18. What do I need to know about having a pet in Platte City? Annual Fee: The license fee for each dog or cat is five ($5.00) for all neutered or spayed animals and ten ($10.00) for those dogs or cats not neutered or spayed.
